As an investment strategist at Insight Venture Partners, the leading venture capitalist for new and emerging Internet and software companies, Jerry Murdock directed the investments on several listed companies such as Fuze Box, Inc., DivX, Inc., DriveCam, Beatport, Quest Software, and many others. Despite his busy life in Insight Venture Partners, Jerry Murdock has not neglected his role in uplifting societies and discoveries in social and physical sciences. He’s a Board of Trustees member for both The Santa Fe Institute and the Aspen Institute working side by side other brilliant minds in physical and social sciences like former U.S. Secretary Madeline Albright.

Jerry Murdock is not only helping individual companies accumulate wealth, he’s also helping spread new developments in sciences to the marginalized and emerging societies. That’s why he deserves the Man of the Week mention here.
